An international development program that contributes to strengthening citizen engagement in socio-economic development at the regional level in Azerbaijan is seeking candidate for the position listed below:
Regional Coordinators for the regional units in Lenkoran-Astara and Shaki-Zagatala

Regional Coordinator
Regional Coordinator, in the respective regional units in Lenkoran-Astara and Shaki-Zagatala, will be responsible for the successful implementation of all community mobilizing activities. Regional Coordinator will use his/her technical skills, education, experience, and country knowledge to accomplish the following tasks:
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Initiate communication and participate in the meetings with relevant authorities of new target rayons;
- Participate in process of identification of the new target communities;
- Initiate mobilizing process in the newly selected communities;
- Organize CDC elections in targeted communities and provide training to CDC members;
- Assist CDCs to interact with relevant local officials to carry out the community needs assessments;
- Ensure participation of relevant key stakeholders in project activities (trainings, round tables) through relationship building and information dissemination;
- Organize Project Evaluation Committee meetings in the respective regions;
- Monitor implementation of community socio-economic projects and provide a report with feedback and recommendations;
- Maintain project Quarterly Implementation Plan and Calendar of critical program milestones, deadlines and events;
Desired Qualifications
- Five years of experience in social work or development programs, preferably for international organizations;
- At least three years of experience in managing projects including planning and reporting;
- Very good knowledge of the target region, respectively Lenkoran-Astara and Shaki-Zagatala;
- Good understanding of community development initiatives and socio-economic development in Azerbaijan;
- Strong management skills, a self-starter, and very well organized;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Impeccable professional and personal integrity;
- University degree in political science, economics, social science, or other related fields;
- Fluency in written and oral Azerbaijani, working knowledge of English language is highly preferred.
