A leading international consulting firm seeks a Business Specialist to
work with key firms, support service providers, and the public sector to promote
competitiveness of select sectors and value chains to increase sales, promote
exports, create jobs, and enhance investment. The technical specialist is responsible
for:
-Managing relationships and facilitating among stakeholders, and ensuring program
results.
-Providing guidance, direction, overall management and supervision to a regional
business development service (BDS) provider contracted by the project.
-Conducting rigorous analysis of respective sectors, including stakeholder relationships,
identifying key constraints, providing creative solutions to issues and problems
that leverage capital, technology and innovation, and human resources.
-Creating social capital among stakeholders.
-Responsible for quantitative targets including jobs and sales in respective
value chains and sub-sectors.
-Working with international consultants.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of Bachelors Degree required.
-In-depth knowledge of the regions of Azerbaijan.
-Strong private sector/business orientation. Previous experience with USAID,
donor organizations and BDS programs, desirable.
-Proven record of success in delivering business results.
-Agro-industry experience and sector understanding.
-Creativity, flexibility, and ability to multi-task.
-Strong English language abilities written and verbal are necessary.
-Strong initiative and leadership skills, with a drive to succeed, including
strong work ethic, willingness to travel, and work long hours in a demanding
environment.
