titled "Juvenile Justice" is published by AYLU.
We are glad to inform you that in these days a new book titled "Juvenile
Justice" (in Azeri) had been published by the Children Rights Department
of Azerbaijan Young Lawyers' Union (AYLU). The book is published within the
framework of the project "Children in criminal procedure; Collaboration
of NGOs and Government". The project partner is the Estonian Children
Foundation. The project is funded by East-East Program of the Open Society
Institute - Assistance Foundation.
We would like to remain you that the during the project implementation Azerbaijani
and Estonian delegations that works on Juvenile Justice issues had a mutual
visits with the aim of getting acquaintance with the circumstances of Juvenile
Justice system in both of countries.
The project coordinators were been Mr. Elmari Mamishev (Azerbaijan - vice-chairman
of AYLU) and Mr. Raoul Heido (Estonia - Prosecutor of Tartu City).
The book "Juvenile Justice" is consist of the following directions:
- Conception of Juvenile Justice
- Historical background of Juvenile Justice
- Modern Juvenile Justice
- The Court on Juveniles' Issues
- International Juvenile Justice System
- Convention on Children Rights
- Juvenile Justice in foreign countries
- Azerbaijani legisltation norms that regulates Juvenile Justice issues
We are also glad to inform you that the during the project implementation period,
AYLU became a member of the International Juvenile Justice Network (IJJN).
If you interested in getting the book "Juvenile Justice", you can
apply to the Children Rights Department of AYLU which is chaired by Mr. Elmari
Mamishev - vice-chairman of AYLU.
The book "Juvenile Justice" will be distributed free of charge among
the children NGOs, relevant government bodies, international agencies and organziations,
social servants etc. from January 2003.
The editor of the book is a chairman of AYLU - Mr. Nadir Adilov, the author
is a Mr. Elmari Mamishev. The translations of the international documents and
foreign literature on Juvenile Justice were been made by Mr. Ramil Isgandarov
- vice-chairman of AYLU and Mr. Elkhan Asadov - lawyer of CLEE NGO.
