THE NEW BOOK ON CHILDREN RIGHTS IS PREPARING FOR PUBLISHING
BY AYLU.
After gained independence, Azerbaijan Republic has joined to the number of
international documents, including the UN rules on minimal standards for administration
of juvenile justice (Beijing rules). On April 28, 2002 the Milli Medjlis (Parliament)
of Azerbaijan Republic adopted the law on Commissions on minor children issues
and protection of their rights on the basis of International acts to which
Azerbaijan has joined.
For this purpose Azerbaijan Young Lawyers Union (AYLU) with the financial
support of the Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation (OSI-AF) has begun
to realize the project on preparation and publishing of the Commentary to the
law on Commissions on minor children issues and protection of their rights
in azeri.
The author of the book that is going to published is a Mr. Ilgar Jafarov
The head advisor of the Administrative and Military legislation Department
of the Milli Medjlis (Parliament) of the Azerbaijan Republic. The Scientific
editor of the book is the Legal Sciences Candidate Shaban Bagirov, the Editor
of the book is a dissertant of the National Academy of Sciences Nadir Adilov,
References Academic of the Moscow legal sciences Academy Nusrat Veliyev
and Legal Sciences Candidate Malik Selimov.
The project aim is to facilitate the application of the Law of Azerbaijan Republic
on the Commissions on the Juveniles Issues and Protection of their Rights in
practice, to contribute the equal and correct understanding of the law and popularization
of the law and legal enlightenment.
The book will be distributed among the Officials of the local executive power
and public servants, Municipality Servants, Judges, Servants of the Law Enforcement
Bodies, Teachers of the Law Faculties, post-graduate students, candidates, students,
citizens, NGOs working with childrens problems.
