SOS Children's Villages Azerbaijan Association was founded in 1999 according to the agreement signed between SOS Children’s Village International and Azerbaijan government. The main purpose of the organization is to provide family-like care to the children deprived from parental care as well as to implement different activities that are aimed to provide children the social welfare. Currently number of social and educational projects are successfully being implemented within SOS Children's Village Baku and Ganja branches.

 

SOS Children’s Villages Azerbaijan is implementing Child Protection Policy based on UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

National Sponsorship Coordinator 

 

The National Sponsorship Coordinator is the main point of contact with international sponsors and donors in the National Association. National Sponsorship Coordinator guides a network of sponsorship co-workers, develop annual plans/budget and follow up on them, leads yearly sponsorship campaigns (twice a year). Her/his customer-oriented approach, combined with their inspiring and professional reporting towards sponsors, play an important role in sponsor retention and loyalty. On-going quality monitoring, the implementation of international plans and projects as well as the expansion towards a stewardship approach to our donors are a key success factors for donor services worldwide. She/he positions SOS Children’s Villages as a strong partner among potential and existing supporters based on SOS Children’s Villages roots, vision, mission and values.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key performance areas and main responsibilities:

Communicates with sponsors and donors and is their main point of contact: Designs messages/letters directed at sponsors and donors and writes exciting, honest and inspiring messages for them (safeguarding children’s right to privacy and dignity) Updates all sponsors regularly through periodical letters/manages the Donor services application (software)

Acts as intermediary between sponsors and children or programmes to safeguard the respective rights and interest of both groups

Registers children in Sponsorship programme Oversees, organises and manages sponsorship work and assures/monitors quality

Implements and follows up on international project aimed towards increasing the level of service quality and stewardship towards donors and sponsors

Builds, trains and guides a team of sponsorship co-workers at programme level

Responsible to raise awareness of the SOS Child Protection Policy principles and to prevent and protect children from all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination Carries out Child Safeguarding (CS) risk assessment within his/her sphere of responsibility and ensures that relevant actions are put in place to mitigate existing and possible CS risks Responsible to report any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately, following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures.

YOUR PROFILE:

• University degree – Linguistics, philology and other job related fields;
• Good knowledge of Storytelling and writing;
• Previous experience with multinational/NGO companies;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail and exhibits a high level of confidentiality;
• Ability to work under high pressure and passion;
• Monitoring skills;
• Experience in working on systems/software and tools;      
• Fluent Azeri, English 
• Strong inter-personal skills;
• Creativity;
• Team Player;
• Computer literacy (MS Office);

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Full time employment contract - V days; 09:00- 18:00
• Area - Baku city, Nizami str 137/1 (orientation Chinese Embassy)
• Gross monthly salary – 750.00 AZN
• Registration of employees according to the labor legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
