Position: Economic Security Data Base Manager/Field Officer

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. It directs and coordinates the international relief activities conducted by the Movement in situations of conflict. It also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles. Established in 1863, the ICRC is at the origin of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

One of the ICRC activities currently implemented in Azerbaijan is the support to vulnerable communities along the frontline, in cooperation with Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society. The project seeks to improve the economic security of vulnerable families through support to livelihood activities (agriculture, livestock etc) as well as community projects.

The Delegation of the ICRC in Azerbaijan is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Economic Security Data Base Manager/Field Officer with 100 % occupation rate. Under the direct supervision of the Economic Security (Ecosec) Delegate, the Database Manager main task is to design the assistance programme database that will facilitate smooth implementation of the project activities. She/he will also contribute to the implementation of the livelihood/community project activities in the field in close cooperation with Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society staff and volunteers, and the targeted communities.

Main responsibilities:
" Designs an assistance programme database.
" Ensures that proper data collection is carried out by the field teams, according to standard forms and procedures and is regularly recorded into the assistance programme database.
" Extracts cumulative tables for regular programme updates and Ecosec analyses.
" Establishes and maintains the filing system of the Ecosec department.
" Prepare all paperwork needed for the field activities, post distribution monitoring form, assessment /or beneficiary payment forms.
" Designing, planning, managing/implementing livelihood projects.
" Working with community-based approaches (agriculture (including irrigation systems) and livestock activities)
" Analytical skills

Required qualifications
" University /college level preferred.
" Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experiences in similar activities.
" Experience of international organisation is a plus.
" Good knowledge of spoken and written English and Azerbaijani.
" Good communication /analytical skills.
" Ability to work independently.
" Capacity to adhere to and to implement procedures.
" Capacity to deal with stressful situations.
" Possession of a valid Drivers licence and proven driving experience is desirable.
" Teamwork.
