The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. It directs and coordinates the international relief activities conducted by the Movement in situations of conflict. It also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles. Established in 1863, the ICRC is at the origin of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
The ICRC Delegation in Azerbaijan is seeking candidate, male or female, for the position of:

LOGISTICS PURCHASER IN BAKU

RESPONSIBILITIES
" Good knowledge of the market environment
" Negotiate the best value ( quality/price) for ICRC purchases
" Handles current purchases by respecting the given procedures
" Applies to ICRC procurement policies
" Reports to the Logistician on regular basis
" Prepare selection tables and supporting documents to justify and exhibits transparency in the choice of supplier
" Conduct market survey and analysis for prices and quality benchmarking and submit reports to Logistician
" Ensure that database is used and filled correctly.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

" Secondary school level or technical college
" 2 years work experience in a similar field of activity
" Very good knowledge of spoken and written Azeri, English and Russian
" Good computer knowledge and Data Base
" Capacity to adhere to and to implement procedures
" Good communication skills
" Good negotiation skills
" Rigor, method and analytical skills
" Driving licence & basic knowledge of Mechanics
