VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. It directs and coordinates the international relief activities conducted by the Movement in situations of conflict. It also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles. Established in 1863, the ICRC is at the origin of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
The ICRC Delegation in Azerbaijan is seeking candidate, male or female, for the position of:

LOGISTICS OFFICER IN BARDA

RESPONSIBILITIES
" Establish and maintains the documentation process for tracking and monitoring orders.
" Ensure that procurements/services are properly registered in DB and all departments are aware of the requirements
" Conduct purchases according to the ICRC procedures (tendering, negotiation, preparing contracts)
" Supervise the Fleet in Barda Sub-Delegation (maintenance, movements, dispatch planning)
" Supervise, coach and evaluate staff working in the Department (drivers, guards).
" Ensure that premises are well maintained and furnished according to ICRC standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

" Secondary school level or technical college
" 2 years work experience in a similar field of activity
" Very good knowledge of spoken and written Azeri, English and Russian
" Good computer knowledge and Data Base
" Capacity to adhere to and to implement procedures
" Good communication skills
" Good negotiation skills
" Rigor, method and analytical skills
" Driving licence & basic knowledge of Mechanics
